Local economic context and training opportunities
Our core business is industrial production for aerospace markets.
The aerospace industry has developed strongly with the growth of aircraft maintenance activities at Clermont Auvergne airport (for example : AIA-Atelier Industriel de l'Aéronautique for maintenance of air force aircraft, Hop Maintenance, an Air France subsidiary, SN Auvergne Aéronautique (Groupe Figeac)).
In all, some 3,500 employees in the metropolitan area work in the aeronautics sector.
A particularly well-developed training offering: Clermont Auvergne INP, 2 Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications ("Production industrielle de demain" and "Aéronautique") (CMQ PID) attached to the Université Clermont Auvergne, CFAI and ITII d'Auvergne, and a network of engineering schools (Polytech Clermont, ISIMA, SIGMA Clermont, etc.).
