Local economic context and training opportunities
The region and the Platform have been closely linked for over 100 years. Welcoming new industries is essential to the economic development of the region. The project therefore has the support of all the local authorities (Communes, Conseil Régional, Préfecture, EPCI). The Plateforme site has already been awarded the "turnkey site" label in the previous period. The Platform is the largest employer in the region. Arkema's in-house training, via work-study contracts set up in collaboration with local schools, enables us to adapt the skills we develop to our specific needs.
The project is located 1 hour from Aix-En-Provence and 1h20 from Marseille, enabling it to benefit from the entire metropolitan training/R&D/innovation ecosystem. The platform has been identified as part of the "industry of the future" operation of regional interest carried out by the regional council.
