Site description

Inspira, a responsible, multimodal industrial site, covers 340 hectares, with 90 hecatres of public fuvial domain of the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (National Company of the Rhône), making it one of the most important economic site of Isère.

The site is already home to 23 industrial and service companies on 75 hectares already developed.

The building zone plans to develop the remaining areas in order to market a further 100 hectares, and to build public facilities (roads, stormwater basins, heavy goods vehicle parking, rail links, river quays, corridors, etc.).

The land is located next to a waterway managed by the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR - a French electricity generation company, mainly supplying renewable power from hydroelectric facilities on the Rhône).

Local economic context and training opportunities

The site is equidistant from the major centers of Lyon, Grenoble, Saint-Etienne, Vienne and Valence.

The area is home to a number of high schools, including the Lycée François Verguin, which is attached to the Osiris chemical platform and offers Bac Pro (vocational baccalaureate) courses in process industries.
