The 'Montpertuis Palazol' site aims to attract new industrial investors, to establish new businesses in strategic fields, and become a reference in sustainable development and urban quality.
This former industrial site won the Europan design and architecture contest for the project as a production campus of the highest environmental quality.

Local economic context and training opportunities
The region is characterized by its historically strong industrial economy. Today, one in five job offers comes from the industrial sector. 6,500 industrial jobs localy, including :
- 1,000 jobs in cosmetics/biomedicals
- 1,500 jobs in the food industry
- 1,200 jobs in leather goods
- 400 jobs in plastics processing
- 600 jobs in logistics
With 3,000 students, 12 post-baccalaureate sites and 50 multi-disciplinary courses, the Vichy Communauté offers a wide range of courses for students. The University Centre trains managers and qualified technicians in ten different fields, in addition to a wide range of post-baccalaureate courses. The proximity of the Clermont-Ferrand Metropolitan area to the Vichy sector (30 minutes by rail) completes the range of courses offer.
