More than 50ha

83 hectares available

Site description

The project covers an area of 120 hectares, divided into 2 distinct entities:

  • 83 hectares (aerodrome) under Urban Community of Maubeuge Val de Sambre (CAMVS) control and available now;
  • 40 hectares in the south of the airfield, currently for farming.

The project is fully in line with the country's reindustrialization policy and meets the expectations of major industrial players, particularly in the electric vehicle and battery sectors.

The urban community of Maubeuge Val de Sambre covers an area of 350 km², with 43 communes and 125,650 inhabitants. Its territory is a mosaic of rural villages clustered around three cities, Aulnoye-Aymeries, Maubeuge and Jeumont, which are highly industrialized and specialized in the energy, metallurgy, automotive and agrifood sectors.

In order to renew its capacity to host a structuring industrial project, the community of Maubeuge Val de Sambre is considering converting its airfield and surrounding area into a business park for a single large-scale and strategic project.
